Yeah i will definetly keep an update on this guy. I have everything i need on my end to ensure a good life for this guy. I guess that is the reason why im nervous he hasnt eaten. I will keep everyone updated, definetely will take any new advice as well!

Be weary of copper based medication on catfish // A study was conducted to compare the effects of two chemical therapeutants on channel catfish (CCF) Ictalurus punctatus concurrently infected with Flavobacterium columnare and Ichthyobodo necator. I thought about this when I had cory cats and heard copper was bad for them so probably too this kind of catfish may not like specific medication.. tricky but fun!

Don’t use the regular dose of Malachite green, copper, or even salt for that matter on scaleless fish like cats, they are much more sensitive to it than regular fish. Start with 1/4th of the recommended dose, then slowly progress to 1/2 of the recommended dose as the treatment goes on, until you are done. This will relieve some of the stress that the medicine may put on the cat due to its scalelesness. Some of this info is from me, other parts of it are passed on from another fellow on a different page of the website. (To give credit where it is due) .
ARTC can be pretty aggressive. Just a heads up if there are gonna be any tankmates.
Its actually normal for young catfish swims vertical, it chases the current. ARTC are shy. Need places to hide. About feeding, try asking previous owner what he ate & feed him when the light is off. I usually train my new catfish that way.
