Asian arowana tail removal video

Good job on the surgery/operation, you took all the proper steps to do it safely/properly.
That being said I dont know if I would be gutsy enough to do this myself because I would fear the tail not growing back fully.
I have seen some cut tails that actually ended up looking smaller than original and almost nub like.

Hopefully this wont happen in your case and please post more pics of it fully healed.

I once did a gill correction srgery on a piranha but that seemed less risky to me LOL

Thanks..

The arowanas tail has now fully grown back. In fact, it now seams a bit "fuller" I will post pics soon. I was also worried it may not grown back, but a fish's fins are amazing in that they almost always do. As long as the cuts are not below the base of the tail, and into the flesh of the fish, they'll grow back.

I also did a dorsal fin op on this same arowana shortly after... that too has grown back fully, but one ray grew back crooked... i will have to repair that one ray of the fin, but after that, he will have really nice finnage.

I'm trying to wrap my head around how well that turned out, great job dude:thumbsup:

Here are two pics i just took now. Not the best, but shows progression of the tail growing back...

First pic of tail, second pic of the entire arowana to show comparison to the full body.
