Thats a very naive statement. Of course LEOs can pose as sellers, and they absolutely will take action against an individual with a single specimen. how do you think they get info about the "big fish"? they dont put the squeeze on their dry cleaners, they put pressure on the customers, starting from the bottom up.

I suppose you also think
you can just ask them if they are LEO, because if they are they have to tell you....

i know  entrapment

They are preserved, any Asian Arowana you buy was bred at a fish "Farm". They aren't wild caught anymore, so what are they preserving? That's why every other country is letting them in, they aren't wild caught. They have gone as far as micro chipping them. If there is no microchip it is wild, and illegal. Correct me if I am wrong but the ban sounds pretty dumb to me...
Alot of the smuggled aros are wild caught...chips aren't that hard to put into aros...certs are pretty easy to forge...So if someone takes a wild caught asian and puts a chip in it (like all cases) would it be considered farm bred?

:headshake Be sure to tell that to the arresting officer, I'm sure they'll take the cuffs right off and apologize.

i think there is a good reason why your country banned the asian arowana. here i our country we dont appeal the case of the piranha being an illegal fish.

Well, we have fish that are banned/being banned for example, they are trying to ban snakeheads in Canada. Theres a good reason to everything. Government wont just make up random bills and put them to use.

Snakeheads are already illegal in Ontario

haha it would be totally hilarious if there were MFK'ers who were feds and looking at these threads and writing down potential people on their lists....

Well I guess as long as no one is advertising selling illegal fish they don't have much to go on do they? Its not illegal to talk about it.
