Agreed. I am simply working on academics to help me get into courses and prepare mentally for the hard work that it would entail, I am by no means the smartest and take very difficult subjects which means I really have to work to get into university with the political climate down here. Don't let schoolwork be everything :)

Carp you sound just like an ex of mine. So obsessed with academic smarts and putting so much value on what tests say.
It was very sad to watch how negatively it was impacting his life. Putting his self worth into how well he did on tests. I’ve never known someone so pessimistic, sad, depressed, all because of test scores. Don’t let that be you.

Doing well I’m school is important, but even if you aren’t in the top 10 it doesn’t mean you won’t live a successful life.

I thought all this IQ talk was just to mess with people, but if it’s really something that’s on your mind this much I’m afraid you’ll be in for a lifetime of disappointment.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: IQ DOES NOT MEASURE ACADEMIC SUCCESS! There is a well-studied correlation between IQ and life success. IQ is paramount.

They're all the same speed for the purposes of this question -- and no you can't keep riding forever.
One animal would have to get tired, it's a greater chance that the lion would get tired before either the hippo or the horse, because the lion is less compelled to keep chasing, the horse and hippo are running because their lives depend on it. Nothing bad will happen to the kion if it stops chasing. So if the horse begins to get tired, jump to the hippo. It then might be possible to jump from the hippo to the elephant.

It definitely isn't the "key" to success. Success is wildly variable

You don't need a high IQ to be successful at being stupid, but you need a high IQ to be a successful physicist, for example. I have read the meta-analysis, the correlation is there, IQ is one of the greatest predictions of life success.

Depends what you have a knack for and what you enjoy doing.

Nice read here:

The more you stress about something you can't change the worse it'll be for you. You are who you are so make the best of it!
