Well, you seem to be a determined person. I’m sure if you keep at it you’ll get there high IQ or not.
Just don’t forget to enjoy life as you go.
No amount of effort can make up for an extremely low IQ. I'm not saying I have an extremely low IQ, but there is a point in any given field where someone with a lower IQ than the average people in that field can no longer keep up just by working harder.
PhD is more work than anything. Lots of hours and a plain understanding of the scientific process. What do you want to go into Carp? I think a PhD in molecular or micro biology is my current favourite, but I need to get in, get my first degree, honours and if masters works out then I'll look at a PhD. I don't know what marks are required to study there, but I am looking at finishing my last (current) year of school with 80% average which I am almost at. You've gotta break it into chunks and go from there!
And if you aren't already; do a sport! It'll give you a massive mental boost and certainly helps me balance stuff out.

Maybe molecular biology or biophysics. It's definitely a lot of work, but you also need a high IQ. Here in the US you don't need a master's degree to do a PhD, just a bachelor's degree.

Ambition is good, so is education but true success is not always due to a career or interlect. Its much more primative and instinctive and often overlooked than that.
Yeah I guess every person's definition of "success" varies. I'm not saying that low IQ people can't be happy, in fact low IQ people are often happier than high IQ people, but if you want to be someone who greatly extends humanity's scientific understanding in one or more fields, you need to have a high IQ. Some low IQ people might define success as fulfilling the demands of society, when in reality, they are nothing more than slaves in the social machine.
