Saltwater fishing is cool but If it was me. I would go out and try to catch that LMB of my dreams. I would probaly try both but most of my time spnet fishing will be for "THE ONE" LMB!!!!

Freshwater is better to me, cause if i want to eat fish I go to the store for them!!

try going to catalina island now that I think about it that would be your best bet, its close and there is some INCREDIBLE FISHING THERE! if your ganna stay at the hotel on the island you should book it way in advance but during the night you can catch some tuna and stripped bass and during the day you can catch monster sharks and rays

^ agreed. btw if i fish with a guide, do i get to keep the fish i catch?

On charter boats for ocean is almost always catch and keep if you want it. I have never gone on a guided freshwater trip but i know at lanier you can keep fish as long as its legal.

Catalina Island will have just the same if not better fishing. Ive gone deep sea fishing off of LA 3 times and the biggest fish I ever catch are 50lb tuna. I've gone fishing off of Catalina Island and the biggest fish I've caught was a 140lb batray and you dont have to pay $1000 so you pick haha

how much does it cost to get a boat out there?

not very much theres a ferry that goes like twice a day for like $5 each

i prefer the second one so far.
