I'm sure oscar n redtail can back me up on this.. that is not a wels.. that is a "brown shark". much similar to the wels but not illegal.. lucky you..

keeping conditions are pretty much the same as a wels though..

It doesn't look too skinny yet so no worries.. It will probably eat in time given the right care and some love! try earthworms

its no wels it still a monster though ! but feed him up and he will get huge !

to me the gill location looks too far away from mouth and eyes, but maybe its just age?

You know, I can't say that I have ever been happier to be wrong. However, the dork still needs to eat. Oh, and he has been offered red wrigglers (small earthworms), and has not taken any interest. Thanks guys. I'll post later with updates.

try some live neons of something like that just as a 1 off he should eat them and keep the temp up n lights off for the next 2 days GL

Just found this thread after responding to your pm. I'd agree with john, low temps for catfish means they will not eat. If you get the temps back up and give him a few days then offer up something meaty, I'd almost bet he'd try it out!
