whats trouble with gf feeders? diseases, faster dirty water do to scales? will uneaten blood worms or shrimp affect any of water perams?? how long should i not feed my fishes in order for them to accept other food.

Diseases, and datnoid could die from bloated caused by internal bacteria.

I'm having similiar problems right now exept Dat and gar, not jar. My gar is around 15" and dat is 5" in a 120g. I was a little nervous putting them together, but most said a Dat that size should be fine. It definitely is a hit or miss deal though. Thing is, my dat won't leave my gar alone. It constantly hunts the gar down, and swims around him aggressively. I thought it would be the other way around if anything. They're kinda pissing me off, almost wanna get rid of both...Anyways, I feel your pain.

yea my datnoid keep doing the same thing then my jar gets mad but im going to try and take my splitter out and see how things go, how long should should i let them go at it for?? thanks Jin and everyone comments been big help. il keep you guys updated

buy more dats

the dats would chase each other and the jar wouldnt know what dat to chase

I wish I could find another dat, cause I thought getting another might help too. FYI, make sure your tank is sealed up well. Ive had a problem with fish getting out of the tank when fighting, normally my gar. Ive saved my gar all three times he's gotten out. One time, he made it half way across the house. Don't know how he got out, but everytime, I've sealed up even tighter, closing up the smallest gaps on top.

yea i covered up all my holes too after my first jar jumped out and dried up on my carpet as i woke up in the morning.:( not going to happen agin well i hope, but today i took out the splitter and it seems that the jardini might be accepting the datnoid. still a lilttle bit eyeball going on though.hmmm maybe because he know im gunna put the splitter back in and he rather have more room to swim.lol

They sure do get those looks LoL. Hope they can continue to live together. Mine started to get better until I fed them, then it all started up again. I think my gar knows the dats not food, but the dat got to leave the gar alone. They aren't damaging each other, just themselves on rocks when they get wild. As The Fishtank Turns...

Still doesn't change the fact that in 8 months time your jar will be ~12" and the dat will still only be 5-6". This is almost certain to not end well...

I currently house a 20" Jardini with a 7"-8" NGT without any problem

maybe because NGT are the most aggressive tiger and the jar is the most aggressive aro :D

they maybe well matched so don't mess with each other
