Though I dont drink lol . Well ,my wife does lol I know what your saying I figured it would be better than banning them.

People have a tendency to impulse buy if cheap . Its like those quarter size turtles . My brother in law bought 4 or 5 for $20 not long ago here by the beach.

They will in time be released in lake by his house which is loaded with turtles ALL impulsed bought now if they were $50 each they would not have been bought .

He is not a good pet owner just an impulse buyer .

Ye i understand what you are saying, many businesses use that stratergy anway. they price there products to appeal to a certain market sector and it does work, so i guess just up the prices a little or for those people that genuinely dont understand what they are taking on have clear labels on certain animals in the shops pointing out in a few short words the size, required dimentions and potential dangers the animal may present.

Yes that if done correctly would work. The media ESP here loves to scare people with giant snake/lizard stories which leeds to some wanting them banned.

Though I keep 6 snakes (3 ruthven-3 arizona mts) and all stay under 4 feet and harmless. I would never even let my neighbors know I have snakes.

Rather not risk it . They dont even know I have fish and feel better safe than sorry

I do the same thing nobody down my avenue knows i keep fish or reptiles!
Like you say its safer like that!
