can somebody make a list of acceptable brands of sand to use? My motoro doesn't like the eco-complete plant substrate... so i want to put black sand on the top.

sand is harder to clean but if you throw in some malaysian trumpet snails, you can avoid the harmful bacterias. they will aerate the sand as they move through it during the daylight hours. i dont think the rays would eat them too considering how hard their shells are.
Okay. Now could you give me a website where I can order the correct sand? Also I want to line the Back and left side of the tank with some medium size river rock and pebbles, all are very smooth! No sharp or abrasive edges... Would this be okay?
sand was better looking plus allowe drays a lil somethign to blow into all day looking for more food.
