Best school?

mostly rainbowfish, tetras , and other small fish will get knocked off, i agree with convicts in a large piranha tank but a large cichlid tank, that would have the male convicts rumble for territory and breeding would be crazy after a while, best solution is red hook silver dollars or regular ones, also large growing barbs and loach's

I love Silver Dollars, but neither of my Trimac's will tolerate them.

Does your trimac tolerate anything? I currently have one danio in my tank that grew up with my fish and they leave him be.

congo tetras, convicts are far to aggressive to put in with these fish as I could forsee the convicts owning the tank. Plus they breed like crazy and who wants that many convicts!

exodons are a true shoaling characin, but as mentioned, will not make good dithers for your tanks. if you add a shoal of exodons to the tank, one of two things will happen.

- the exodons will pick your current stock apart, or stress them to death.

- your current stock will make an expensive snack of your new $8/ea exodons.

either way, its not good times for anybody.
