The technique relies on the ability of cichlids in an aquarium to use the behaviour of other fish species as a measure of environmental security (Loiselle, 1979). Good dither fish are typically schooling species such as Danio spp., barbs and some tetra species.
giant danios = food
My 6" freddies ate an entire school of giant danios within hours of adding them to the tank. Silver dollars are probably your best bet.skeletor121;3441315; said:I know that silver dollars are the common dither fish, but my wife is asking about bala sharks. I'm not sure why she likes them, but for me to get the 150 gallon setup I may have to go with them. Anyone have any experience/recommendations? I am thining one or two Oscars and a couple of the bala sharks.
