Sure. Ive told this story before, but I can tell it again.

A buddy to a guy I know had an Oscar that everytime when it was X-mas and he put up the christmas tree, the Oscar stopped eating and just laid down on one side and looked very depressed. When X-mas were over and the tree was out, the Oscar got happy again and started to act like normal. :)

All Afr. do is beg for food and hide in their caves when you clean the tank-Amer. when they get large do the opposite-they try to bite your hand off-not only that Afr. are like having a Min Pin. instead of a real Dob Pin!!

i hear this over and over again....... honestly, going to the lfs and checking out the big SA and CA cichlids doesn't show me how much they are like having a puppy in fish form. i'm not about to go empty a tank just to get some SA/CA just to test this out. can someone post some youtube vids of this amazing behavior of their SA/CA cichlids?

thats pretty cool. I have a red zebra that will follow my finger on the glass like that magnet

I have to say SA but def not because of discus...... How boring "oh wow look at it just float there in the same spot for hours......." LOL. South American because of Crenicichla! Pikes should be called the King of freshwater fish! So much personality, fight, and very very Inquisitive. Crenicichla For Life!!!
