BETTER: African or S. American Cichla?

S.A. cichlids-ALL DAY

Africans are cool cause most of them have good color from a young age but i seen some that when they get a decent size the colors start to like dingy. I love the fact u can have a SA cichlid and as it gets older it morphes into a beautiful fish.

South American all the way, love the coloring of them and their behaviors are much more interesting. I currently own 8 SAs

My wife adores African Cichlids but to me it is like having a toy cichlid. You know would you rather have a Doberman or the toy version?

As a matter of fact when I used to have Afr. my brothers would come over and ask "So where are the toy cichlids?" LOL!

SA/CA for me. I don't know why but Africans have never interested me much. I've had a variety of SA and CA's going back to early high school

I really think that their personality is a big part of why I prefer them.
