i've seen a couple pics on the web, wasn't really sure if it was the same individual or not in the pics, but one of them looks short body, or semi-short, which is unfortunate imo. i've also seen pics of normal color shortbody, if they now try to selectively breed this line, that'd be a shame. I find that the normal length Pbb looks infinitely better with its powerful look!! hopefully the one you're bidding is normal
a bit off topic, some of the platinum endlis i saw on the web scares me...the head looks abnormal, dorsal finlets are all bent...what gives

There is only one platinum bichir bichir so far and there has only been two succesfull breedings. The parents are the same in both instances, so I doubt they have started selective breedings yet.
The platinum endis that were around a few years ago were just really rare due to them poping up now and again in the endi fry. But the ones that have been going around of late are mainly comming out places other than Japan and selective breeding is taking place from what I understand. And yes you are right when you say they don't look like endis any more, plus having a lot of defects.
^^I'd like to meet that person! I'm not sure but if this a bichir bichir or a Lapradei? It was listed as a bichir bichir but I'm not sure. I've seen Laps with a similiar look. Either way it's awesome and I want one!!!

yup its a Pbb. this particular one is called a 'full color' in japan. also can't just go with the patterns or color as Pbb and lapradei can be similar sometimes.
