Bichir only tanks

I agree. The dogpile thing is cool looking, but the maintanence gotta be a killer.
A nice piece of Mopani and a mandenizi (i think its called) branch with some plants and rocks and the 4 aforementioned bichirs will make a nice home for them i think
Oops, my bad... its a manzanita branch... not mandenizi.
 
Aggression is really depends on the polys personality.
I have no hiding spot and alot of polys but i still see some nipping that happen every now and then. Polys are really good on groups, they like to pile on each other.
 
Not messy i agree but they are small, ammonia output changes greatly with some size.

Dmd and i have a hunch that the polys put out less ammonia than cichlids because of their inactivity but at the emd of the day big fish put out big waste.

Allot depends on the person too some are ok with letting nitrates creep to 40 or 60 ppm i try to keep mine at 20 between wc's
