Blind ngt dat for $70?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, PC'S and cars are not very good examples for obvious reasons.....The "just wait" thing just does not cut it for some collectors when NO vendor seems to be able to get the fish that is the topic here...They have not been availible for quite some time.

if you are a collector then why would you want a defective fish in your collection
as for this doing the right t5hig crap thats rubbish to because if you had the choice of a blind fish or not blind which would you take
i look to make my collection as best as i can so if that means waiting 2 or more years for the right fish to come along so be it i wouldnt buy a blind fish just because thats all i can find
the US is a massive place compaired to the UK and if you are telling me this is the only NGT for sale in the US i find that very hard to beleive

The fish is only blind in one eye so that does not hurt it's appeal to some collectors.Different people have their own reasons for collecting what they like.....To answer one of your previous questions,If I bought this dat and a short while later another became availible,I might or might not get that one as well if I liked it's looks enough....I'm not telling you that this is the only one that seems to be up for sale, but there are precious few others at this time, especially in my area.I have had a few very good vendors tell me that these fish have not been availible to them for as long as they can remember so I am starting to think that whatever area that these dats may be collected from might be compromised in some way.Such a case does not sound good for the long run.....Who ever ends up getting this fish will hopefully enjoy it and give it a good life.

it not a case of them being hard to fish as when i 1st started keeping tigers NGT were the most rare even more so than ST
as for buying this one and another came for sale and you buying that to if you know about NGT then you should know that its very very hard to keep more than 1 per tank so if you did have 2 the blind one would get the crap kicked out of it as its disabled
if i wanted a fish bad i would travel miles to get it i have just drove to holland to pick up rays which was a 600 mile round trip
you can find anything if you wait long enough and are willing to travel or get it shipped

Never said they would be in the same tank, that would be nice though. My two ST are in different tanks....I agree with you,I drove a good distance to get one of them.

My whole point is you can't be telling me this blind ngt is the only one for sale in the US

If you have a fish in your care and it goes blind then yes carry on caring for it but don't but a fish knowing it's blind

Why do you care so much? Maybe people don't have as much money as you do to afford the perfect fish. Not everybody has a 1000 gallon tank. If people want the fish then leave them alone and let them do what they want

yup.. perfect is in the eyes of the beholder.. I have a gar with a bent snout.. he isn't pretty but I keep my fish as pets, not a visually perfect painting.. I took the gar because I thought he may end up the reject of the bunch and bought by someone as a substitute for the "perfect" gar.. he ended up being my favourite gar and one of my all time favourite fish..

I'd pay 300 for the blind NGT if I WANTED the fish.. you'll spend the money anyways and who knows, if you nurture him back to health it may be one of those good buys you'll refer to next time your'e unsure.. picture perfect isn't everything..
