Shouldn't you take either the piranhas or the other fish?. From what I know about piranhas, they seem to kill most if not all tank-mates.

Good luck on the new tank, I don't think I'd trust a patch for a cracked bottom, but I've got no experience fixing up larger tanks either.

only exp ive got with cracked tanks is a 55 i cracked on the end.put a pc of plexi in there had it up and running for another 10 yrs.not the best option.i was quoted $960 for a pc of 3/4 and theres no way i can afford that.(unless somebodies looking to buy a roller or a custom rat bike.both are hd style)tanks in an unfinished basement so as long as a kid doesnt get hurt.im not too worried about it.as far as the fish there free.and shes had no luck giving them away if they make it cool if not oh well.the pacu hasbeen in a 55 with the pirahanas for 5 days and from the sounds of it doing well.

If I were you'd I'd take the pacu. They seem to be interesting fish for those who have large enough tanks to house them. Maybe you can rescue another pacu from some noob who needs a proper home?.

my uncle had a couple pacu in a 55.fed them dog food.they justget too big.id like to do a native tank.buddy wants to get rid of the pirahnas.and is giving them to me.i wouldnt buy any.ive had many and they are kinda borring fish.hoping in a big tank they'll move around some.ifi had the money and time. id do a planted discus tank.at one time i had 9 watley discus.3 differant kinds 3 of each.3 tangerines and 8 striated i got from ky.ive run ro water for everything for 10 yrs.this time around water will be coming out of the tap.when it floods here the ph goes insain.off the charts.and when the city changes where they draw water from(which happens every spring and fall)

my buddyu wants to get rid of the pirahanas.cus his oldest son wanted them and he doesnt really come around any more.and he wants to get his christmas fulus back from his sister and start breeding them again.
