Bowfin! ! ! ! !

I caught one about that size last year. Now it's 9". I'd say you're looking at 8"-11" after a year.

WTH! Without even letting us WI MFKers like me know! I've always wanted SH but they are illegal and knowing that I'm the perfect little angel that I am. I will not get one....
But I was thinking of a bowfin as they are the closest to looking like a SH....so much for informing us...I would have gone in a group order.


Anyways I was just throwing a fit, but onto the fish part! Looks amazing! Looks almost like a little African Arowana in a way.

Welcome to the club Hoyo.I've had mine for a few months now,got it from another member here.It was about five inches when it arrived and now it's about twice that.It never bothers the other fish which are a tig and kelberi in a 60 gallon growout.The bowfin eats most floating foods,freeze dried krill,arowana pellets.It tends to be a little skittish sometimes even at this larger size.Hope this helps.

yeah, mine is pretty skittish as well. he's around 7-8 inches.
