Breeding pair for a 125g

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nandopsis haitiensis :grinyes:

Really depends on the footprint of your 125. Im surprised no one asked. But you're most likely able to keep all of the above species. Be careful if you go Festae because they are very aggressive towards each other during breeding, you will definitely need a barrier for one fish to escape the wrath of the other. If you like Cubans; however, I reccomend Cubans. They are what you like and they would work in a 125 quite well.

I have a male festae that I am growing out a female for in another 125 (the fry are in a 55 growout), so I will have a pair of festae in the future.

I was thinking about considering these, but I have never really been a big fan. However, the more I look into the different variaties, the more I like them.

I heard that they are very susceptible to bloat, is this true?

Ditto! They would be amazing if you can raise them to adulthood.

Or you can go with my favorite A. Trimac :D if you can get a compatible pair. Here is a pic. of my male:
