I don't think festae will "be everywhere" anytime soon... sure, the interest is there cuz everyone wants the amazing fish from the pictures but they're simply too aggressive and grow way too slow for many people to stick to them, the beautiful festae you see in pictures takes time, patience and effort to develop and the "Average" fish keeper simply loses the interest before they even reach maturity... Add to that the fact that they're not particularly attractive at pet shop size so unless you know what you're looking for you wouldn't be tempted to buy them and try them out, I know I would have picked up a jag or a red devil instead.
I think they will become more popular only to go back to obscurity and keep going back and forth... but will never "explode" and become a common fish like say a Midas or an Oscar.

what do you mean whats wrong with the hobby, i seen how all of a sudden everyone has festae, to where just 1 month ago everyone was looking for them ,now everybody has them, and everybody wants to breed them ,so soon everyones going to own a pair
doe sanyone know where i can get large lysoni like 3 inch + because i dont want to grow them out from 1 inch , also how do i get w/c fish
alot of people including myself will not buy any f1 fish or f2 fish they prefer wild..Wild fish will always sell faster..there's alot of people out there that want exactly what you want..your best going with a festae pair, my friend has a superb wild festae pair.. he sold 100's of frys but he was never able to sell all the frys before the pair had more frys.frys take up alot of space and you gotta have extra tanks to hold them.
