I don't think festae will "be everywhere" anytime soon... sure, the interest is there cuz everyone wants the amazing fish from the pictures but they're simply too aggressive and grow way too slow for many people to stick to them, the beautiful festae you see in pictures takes time, patience and effort to develop and the "Average" fish keeper simply loses the interest before they even reach maturity... Add to that the fact that they're not particularly attractive at pet shop size so unless you know what you're looking for you wouldn't be tempted to buy them and try them out, I know I would have picked up a jag or a red devil instead.
I think they will become more popular only to go back to obscurity and keep going back and forth... but will never "explode" and become a common fish like say a Midas or an Oscar.
