Thanks. :D

Haven't had a new rescue show up yet. Have one that I was supposed to pick up two weeks ago, but the date keeps changing. Not sure what's going on.
And I am now caring for 6 different Oscars, lol. :D

Nice Oscar, looks like he needs a mate!
lol, Bruce? Tried that once. He doesn't want to see another Oscar on his turf. :D Seems to be the same with my female 12" Oscar... :naughty:
But she is my mother's, and I wouldn't want to risk having Bruce kill it. Had the female Oscar for 4 years now, and she's not getting rid of it anytime soon, lol. I'll have to post pics of the setup. Has the two JD rescues as well. I "spiffed" up the tank for her birthday. She was sick of it looking like "crap", so I fixed it. :D
I should actually have pics taken already... found them! I'll post them below, as usual. ;)
Sounds like I'll be setting up a 200-Gallon!! Pool... lol
Getting it from a friend either tomorrow or Friday for sure. I'll set it up when ever it arrives. Pics then as well!

My mother's setup.
Stock:
1x Pleco
1x Oscar
3x Blood Parrots
2x JD
1x Convict
No flaming! It was her birthday yesterday, cut her some slack! :woot:
First pic was of before I worked on it for a day. Sorry for the glare. The next set will be a little more "clouded". That was from the sand being added. And the last few are it all settled. I don't think that water has been that clear in years, lol. (Looks a lot better in person) She loves her fish to death, but sometimes you need to do more than just a water change every now and again. Well, hopefully not anymore.
I'll stop now, lol, pics!

Yesterday I got to work on a large setup.
A pool. It is a circular pool, so the diameter is 66 Inches across, and the downside it is 16" deep. But it works! Filled it with 5-Gallon pails, which wasn't my most exciting part of the day, lol. Finally got it fillled, added a Fluval Canister Filter, and half a bag of sand (All I had), and I do need to get more of that today.
I then added my 16" Long Nose Gar rescue, and four Oscar rescues, which swim in a pack around the pool. They seem very happy to have so much space compared to what they are used to. The Oscars are very cautious around the Gar, lol, they try to keep their distance. And Pics later, need batteries now for the camera. Might be setting up yet another pool for the rescues that don't get along with the others.

Flicked on the light quick, after it turned off (Have it on a timer
wink.gif
), so all of the Oscars are all bunched up together, lol, that's how they sleep. I'll try to get another shot later when they are all swimming around.
Bruce finally has the space he deserves. :)
From a 45-Gallon tank and covered with HITH, to almost completely cleared up of HITH in a pool.

Great thread man. It's good to see what you've done with fish that have been under-appreciated by their owners. At least the fish can live in better conditions the rest of their lives. Props to you.

The pool's looking good, I'm sure that gar is loving it right now as well as Bruce and his oscar buddies. Gotta love people willing to take in other fish and watch after them.

The pool is looking better than I thought it was going to be, lol.
And thanks, they all seem to be enjoying the room. :)

EDIT: I just got an email for two more rescues, except it doesn't make too much sense to me.
This guy has two Jack Dempseys in a 55-Gallon with other Cichlids, but wants to trade some of my Cichlids I have for the two JD's... that doesn't sounds like a rescue, lol. Plus all of my Cichlids are being used for breeding projects...
