This igit just earned the name BLOOD parrot. Was removing some sand from the tank when the little booger came up and bit me 6 to 8 times in seconds. Freaking turdburgler lost his special treat tonight.

It's like Buddy just flipped a switch and now is the tank boss. Rather amusing watching him attack the glass scrubber so long as the dude doesn't hurt himself.Sounds like you've got a nutter...I can relate to that! Especially my 2 female parrots, 100 percent goon. One charges the glass at anything that moves too quick, and the other bites everything. Both head bang the glass lids![]()
I need to upgrade the tank size first than will look at more fish. Ideally I would put this dude in a 125 and make it more of a community tank.Probably a bit more Midas in him than others.
You could try a jack or convict, they won’t take any crap from him.

Good idea but this terrorist ate mollies, guppies, platys. Well at least nipped em to death. He is housed with a mixed African that somewhat puts him in his place but Buddy is still the boss.Good plan. Tank size improves options. Lots of hiding spots too, Buddy can pick the one (s) he wants. I dunno how big Buddy is but parrots get even more territorial as they age. Even my mildest parrot is now a lip ripper.
Swords, mollies, guppies, platys, rainbow cichlid should all work...even cherry barbs or danios.
I have plans to keep Buddy alive for the long run. Daughter's first fish...Banded leporinus, especially if you get them big. They are nasty and can put up with anything the parrot throws at it. I keep mine with a jack, severum, and parrot. The leporinus is much larger than them and he was there first though.
In a 125 I would say a flowerhorn, amphilophus, or other large, super aggressive cichlids, but I’m not sure how much you like your parrot.
