After using an entire (Tiny cup) of grease and a few extra turns on the nut I woke up this morning to a dry floor.
Back on track.
Will complete the fill after work, dive in the tank to clean the walls and inside glass (Dirty from all the draining and filling), rearrange the sand and rocks and get this thing running full bore. Will update pictures this weekend. If all goes good I will hang the front drywall as well.
You don't. It lasts a long time and since it won't come in contact with water or oxygen there's little to actually break it down other than time.necrocanis;2948338; said:Sounds good. I have a question though will you eventually have to grease it again? Not sure how fast silicone grease breaks down, just curious. Looking really good. All these monster tanks getting finished gives me a new boost of git-r-done!![]()
