Building a 9'x25' pond

Simply Amazing.

Do keep updating on the fauna.............

Are the sections for filter access heavy? I work for a company that manufactures treated wood, and it (green tretaed)can get pretty heavy w/those longer lenghts.
The longer access is. I don't have too much trouble with it but it would be a handful for Kate. As it dries it should get a little lighter.

It's almost sad when projects like are finished.
Finished.... never. Well the major stuff is, but now comes the fun parts.

Spent the last two days building a upper pond. It is 10' long by 15" high and 15" wide. The primary purpose is for plants, and to look cool. I ran a 2x8 along the top edge to use as a bench. For right now I just have a 1000gph sump pump running from the second skimmer chamber, but will get it plumbed with pvc and a ball valve once I settle on a permanent pump for it. The water flows up from the filter tank, through the tank and over a spillway back down to the main pond.

Some of the fishes. Right now there are 3 large comets, a handful of smaller ones, 3 bluegill, 2 sunfish, and a yellow belly slider.

The sunlight was spotty through the trees this morning so getting a shot of the bluegill/sunfish was difficult. In this one you can see the turtle munching on a feeder 6' below. It was a bit clearer, but I dumped the rocks in the upper pond last night which made a lot of dust.

Nice upper pond but i does need some taller plants in it IMO , and the little water fall coming out of it is great . :) , you have spent a lot of money on this ( i geuss ) and time , you have done a great job on it all .

What other fish you are you getting for the pond , any big koi or what ?
