Burn Him at a Stake!

if a silver aro is fed right it is actually very colorful. And as stated earlier you would be very challenged to find a fish that swims more than an aro. Sure beats the hell out of cichlids that hide all day long.. JK I don't really care for cichlids but everyone has their tastes and I have to admit my breeding pair of (Feeder) convicts are really pretty fish.

It's really to each there own. There are some fish out there I like that some people don't and some fish out there I don't like that lots of people do.

I am trying hard to think of a fish I wouldn't want, but I can't think of any!

I'm really bummed!! I just became a member of this site and this is the first thing I read!! When I was 19 and just getting into college I was given an Ari and have been enamered (SP?) with this fish ever since. My 75 gal tank has just been filled for the first time in 15 years and Ari will inherit the top of this tank after the milder fish feel at home. After having Ari eat out of your hand and it acting like a dog letting you pet him forever, you will fall in love. I live way out in Idaho and could use some help in finding reputable livestock merchants. Be good!

Actually, I own one for these reasons:

1) My dad loves arowanas.
2) It's said that they bring luck, and I really believe it does.
3) It's awesome to watch them gulp down crickets, fishes, and frogs.

where in Idaho are you from Wheelrider?

I like Aros. Mainly the Asian and Australian varieties. I think they look better.

i like they way they swim, the constant swaying and movement is awsome. plus they got a huge mouth and i like seeing them crush prey with it.
