Camshaft's New Fish Room/DIY 55 gallon Sump (Load Warn.)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I went to an acrylic company today and bought some weld on #16.
I have just sealed up the right side that was leaking and will be filling it up tomorrow.
I was going to reseal the whole tank just in case, but I would have had to take it completely apart and take it off the stand onto the floor. And I would rather not do that. So if it leaks down the road somewhere else, I'll deal with it then....

Word to the wise. When using weld on #16 acrylic cement do not crawl inside your tank with it for 10 minutes. I have not been that high in a very long time....

I decided while I was filling up the 300, that I should go with my gut instinct and seal up the whole thing. So I drained it, crawled inside it, and sealed that bad boy up. I needed to reach the back seams, but I didn't want to take the tank off the stand. So i climbed inside it. I was so high from the fumes, by the time I got to the last seam you could have sworn I was trying to paint a Picasso painting with glue. I couldnt even smell the glue after a while. It took all of my energy to figure out how to crawl out of that tank. I couldn't even muster up the brain power to wright about it in this thread afterwords.
I let it sit for 24 hours and am now filling it up as I type this.

I also made the tops today.
