probably because you never know what your getting unless you know who bred it, as well as the possibility of it being bred with something that it's supposed to be muddying up the gene pool further. I could go on, but it's not really necessary.fhcruiser;3041115; said:why hate the hybrids???

loganh83;3044722; said:This fish's body shape is similar to a trimac but the markings are quite different. The hybrid does not have a "flower" marking on the head and the blotches along the lateral line are not consistent with a trimac. Lastly notice the subdued vertical bar patterns on the fish in question, they are quite different from a trimac. Sorry for the rant.

VRWC;3044790; said:out of all the posts on here regarding this fish, you chose to quixotically address the one I put?
I noticed all the differences...and I still see more trimac (or lyonsi, after seeing the pic posted of it) than anything else in it. Most low grade Flowerhorns dont have the "flower" marking, hence the term "low grade".
Low grade - a mutt, unidentifiable mix trying to be sold as a flowerhorn etc., which is what I think it is and was trying to be sold as.
Your response is one akin to me saying it IS a trimac. All of the things you "noticed and posted" are why no one has said exactly what the fish is. We noticed them as well.
