Captive bred AUL Australian Lungfish just imported into the US

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I imported 4 of them (the minimum) from Jardini. They just arrived early Wednesday morning this week. They are all the same size, eating well, and very fun to watch.
They're gorgeous. Can I ask? What are they eating? Pellets? Live? Frozen? How food aggressive are they? Slow like Poly's? Or more like catfish when it comes to food? I want to comm' them if I get them and am just curious so I can give tankmates proper consideration. Thanks again Stillwater for all the info.

They are eating cut up massivore pellets, chopped shrimp, chopped fish so far. They eat veggies too, according to the breeder, but I haven't tried any yet. They are fairly slow to go after the food, but they definitely seek it out when I drop it in. I am keeping them with rainbowfish for a while when they are young and move up to larger and more substantial tankmates as they grow.

Beautiful pair Phil. What kind of Gar is that in the background? Tropical?

Yep. This is my female trop. The other 3 thinner and slightly shorter trops are males.

Thanks Oddball Oddball /Phil, almost missed your response. Hate to sound like a fanboy but you keep the coolest species and keep them well. Your stock is always in top notch condition.

Thanks again Stillwater. I hope you keep us updated as they grow. Good luck with them.

I've been dying to get my hands on an AUL and it's nice to know where I can get one now. Thanks for the great info in both threads Stillwater and thiswasgone.

Edit: thiswasgone do you have any contact info. for Jindalee Pty Ltd
Sorry but I do not have any email contact information for Jindalee, nor have I found any searching the web. There are several phone numbers but I don't want to make international calls.
