Captive bred AUL Australian Lungfish just imported into the US

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Early this morning the first captive bred AUL Australian Lungfish arrived in the US from Jardini International . They arrived in perfect condition at the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport at about 1:00 AM. The 4 young specimens are settling in and eating well. Special thanks to Jason at Jardini International, Dave at NorthStar Aquatics, and Mike Maki from Premier Aquarium Service for pulling all the right people together to successfully import them.

Nice

Yeah, wouldn't wanna get nipped by an adult, although, this fish could probably outlive US lol.

I used to feed mine apple snails the size of my fist. It was absolutely incredible to see him make short work of their shells.

Mine is 10 years old now. Got him for $600 and $90 shipping from H2O aquatics. It was about 8" when I got him and now I would say right around 34" I will up load a couple pics in a few

Just a quick update for anyone watching this thread. there is a second breeder of AUL in Australia and they have a batch of this years spawn ready for export. You will need to talk to your contacts in US to arrange import but here is a link to one of the exporter that has them ready to go.
