Cedar Rapids flood pics [EXTREME LOAD WARNING]

Got some pics in an email from a co-worker. These are some of the most profound images I've seen from this flood:

The courthouse you see is where 1st Avenue runs through the middle of town. It's bridge runs right in front of the building. Here, it's completely submerged:

absolutely so sad to see a beautiful area go through such a disaster.. :(

Well, the town has since dried out. But it's still a mess, and the smell is horrible! They're just starting to get power back to some of the downtown areas.
 
Well it depends on what company you're coming in to train with, but the Mariott is safe.
 
Bring your respirator! This city stinks anyway, due to all the corn milling plants. A lot of grain got wet in the flooding, and I don't know if you've ever smelled wet, rotting grain, but :barf:is about the only way to describe it! Other than that, it should be a blast!

wow that is terrible, I hope everything goe's well for you guys. It's a shame that everyone lost so much - but glad to hear that everyone is ok.
