The tank is more or less done now. Will watch and observe over the next week to see if I want to change anything.
The flow is now much more noticeable but the fish seem to be enjoying it.

The next big thing to do on the tank is.........

And then add an extra light to brighten it up a bit.

I am not a canister person, but, that stainless steel canister (I presume) does look great, well engineered and highly impressive. It looks so good, you could have it in the fish tank and watch the fish swim around it.

Set up the filter list night as the plastic was leaking top much. The old plastic cracked.

The filter is the easiest filter I had done. Not a single leak or issue. Don't know if I can go back now. Will see with maintenance.

Put in ceramic rings followed by a course sponge, then ceramic beads and a couple of ceramic tunes. Topped with another sponge.

Nice looking canister filter and so pretty!

I'm not familiar with that particular brand but isn't the bottom mesh screen supposed to set on the bottom of the filter with the legs down? I would think it would be similar to how the Eheim Classic filters are assembled.

Yes you are right.
However, this model has 2 stainless grates. 1 with legs for the bottom which I placed in first. It is tall enough to keep media just above the bottom outlet pipe. And the second I put on top of the media to separate the filter sponge.

This went on the bottom.
