Charcoal preferred, but use my propane when in a hurry!

You know it! I'm on my second chimney, my first one burned through after a few hundred barbecues. :drool:

My neighbors all use them now. They wondered how I was BBq'ing everyday, so easy. A Sunday paper lasts me almost all summer. I ONLY use Kingsford coals, and a Webber grill. I can make any cut of meat tender.

I will be starting my offset smoker at around 10 to 11 tomorrow, and I will be enjoying my slow cooked spare ribs tomorrow night:headbang2

There is not another way I would rather spend my day.

And I have never started my charcoal another way other than using a chimney. The only thing that lighter fluid is good for is starting camp fires.
 
All you need is to attach a thermometer to the lid! You will be set. Steady heat cooks best.
