Christmas Gift Ideas for the Girlfriend / Wife?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Got my wife a make up bag and international tea kit. Trying to get my wife off coffee.

Bought 1 big gift. The rest are small gifts to keep busy with unwrapping. Bought 3 bottles of my wife's favorite perfume. Not an easy task since her brand has been discontinued. Also bought her a nomination charm bracelet with a dozen customized charms of her interests. My wife really enjoys Maine lobster. So, I have a couple of 5-6 pounders arriving Christmas eve. She's a big time Law & Order fan so, I got her the 20 season DVD collection.
The big gift is a pair of cruise tickets for a Spring cruise to St Thomas, St Maartin, Nassau, Puerto Rico, and Bermuda.

Maine lobster for Christmas- nice! I don't eat them but hear the bigger ones are tough.

So much to learn :)

5 pounds isn't big for a lobster. My grandfather used to catch 10+ pounders that I would classify as 'tough'. However, one year he caught a 34 pounder. It was cut into sections and pressure-steamed to perfection. One of the best I've enjoyed.

I've had a 6lb lobster before. I didn't find it tough at all.......and it was just as delicious as the regular 1-2 pounders we typically buy. Melted butter makes everything taste spectacular!

I booked a room and dinner reservations at a high end place on a local lake for New years eve, bought her a black dress to wear to dinner, and booked an appointment for earlier that day at a spa for her before we leave for the evening. Figured I'd write out the day's plans and times in a card, and put the card in the box with the dress. Picked up a few other smaller things as well. I normally do jewelry, but trying to switch it up a bit.

That is indeed a big lobster. Not many of that caliber left in the ocean. Hope your wife enjoys her dinner.

Sounds like a great gift.
