I've got a cloudy tank myself...My 75 and 10 are super clear though. The cloudy one has sand substrate that has been in there only a couple of months. Maybe that really is it?
If you've done lots of water changes, the floating sand should be gone by now. But if there is debris trapped in your sand it could be bacterial action.I've got a cloudy tank myself...My 75 and 10 are super clear though. x2!nice thread. i also dont get the dirty/cloudy tanks. what's the point? i use fish tanks to accent the room so my pet peeve is having clean tanks. besides, cloudy water not only makes the tank look like crap, it also makes the fish look like crap![]()
Those are pretty good points, actually.my tank is crystal clear IRL but when I take a picture or the right side of the tank which has a white gravel substrate it can look cloudy from the flash, this doesnt happen on the side with natural river colored stones. Also alot of tiny air bubbles in the water can look like cloudyness in a picture (if flash is used).
