Good luck with you'r gar they are bad ass fish. Just for the record my 18 incher i use to have. killed clown knife, 3 oscars, dovi, florida jar, black arow, long noise jar, soft shell turtle, cobra pike, the only thing he diddn't kill was a two and a half foot fire eel. and ghost knife he use to swim around the tank with the ghost knife, In the end he left the two wimpy fish and killed the ones that were tough. So not saying putting him with tough fish he won't kill them exct. Good luck and two me that jar in that tank by him self was way cooler then most tanks with a lot of fish jar's are bad ass so gracefull and very interatctive in my opinion. GOod luck with what ever you choose. And ow ya he lived with all these fish from 4 inches or so on. So raising him with them doesn't necacairly work. If you want a arow and a community by a black lol good luck.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey allen Braley

As many times as it takes for new Jardini owners like me to get their questions answered.

If you don't like my thread, don't post in it. :p

I have my 15" Jar with 3 Tiger Shovelnose Cats (TSN) that are about 18" each. They have been together for two years now and no problems. They were raised together from when the Jar was about 10" and the TSN's were about the same size.

It's a toss up between a black shark or a RTGG.

be careful there too. If the Jar isn't too big the GG may kill it. They can be wicked too.
