S'ok dude, you guys were giving me your opinion, I consider it valuable feedback.

Cant wait to see how they turn out :)

The sb offspring will range in body type between the father and mother. Meaning of the 50% that are sb some will look just like mom and some will be nearly as long as dad, and everything in between. Bearing that in mind there are some things we can be sure of, they will look almost exactly like a regular Texas in all but length and to some extent finnage.

These different types can theoretically be selectively bred, simply pair like to like to produce same. And as observed in another thread this gene is dominant, meaning like paired to like should produce 100% of same.

All this to say I can't friggin wait to see the ones that are only kinda short. If my sb texas female had been a male she would have topped out at 5"-6". It would be sorta cool To see one that was a bit longer, a short, or semi-short body as opposed to a round body.

I didn't explain this very well, I was making a reference to them having the head, mouth and body of a texas. No parrot mouth, head etc.

In a few weeks I'll be getting my federal return from the IRS. I've a feeling this thread is gonna get a lot of new post's when I do. :headbang2

Five tanks up at the moment ranging from 27 to 40 gallons, with a few more 20's, 29's on reserve in the basement if needed. The 40 breeder w/29 gallon sump lets me cheat a little on stocking levels, it's filtration is so superior, not to mention it's actual total water volume is 70 gallons.

I know, I know, I need more tank space!

I've been planning the 125 since before xmas, seller has been holding it for me til I get my federal return. Sorta thnkin I need 3 to 4 more tanks on top of that, all 55 gallon if not larger, 75 would be better.
Omg my house is gonna be more water than air.
