Coolest fish for a 10 gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
For people complaining it's too small and saying 20g long should be minimum.. Wikipedia-like sites are not the word of god. Those are IDEAL conditions. He's not trying to treat his fish like a king, he just wants a cool fish to show off to his friends, chill out. 1 Ram in a 10g is more than okay. LFS keep about 50 rams in a 10g and they do just fine. People all around the world keep huge fish in tiny tanks, good luck trying to stop them, lol

oh man so much conflict haha well i mean there is really only 1 way to test it out, get the fish and see how it acts :P if i were to get a ram i'm guessing a pair would be the way to go? but again like stated above it is only a 10 gallon so I feel like the pair would fight....=\

i almost feel like buying a stupid 10 gallon and putting 4 in there just to share my experience. lol.

and the ram at MAXXX grows 5 inches like yeah if you're breeding them you'll want a 20 gallon but i'm just looking for a nice community tank around the dorm just to feel more at home haha because i have some ridiculous tanks at home haha so one single ram should be fine, or should i get 2...

rams need a min of a 20 standerd ( 20 long perferabaly ) and shell dwellers need a min of a 20 long to. nothing really to put in a 10 gallon besides frys, or bettas or shirmps or just do a invert tank with a male betta!

how so? even at 3" it would be able to swim almost 7 times its body length from the length of the tank and 4 times its body length from side to side

do a colony of cherry shrimp, a few dwarf corys ( forgot the scientific name for them ) 1 male betta and 6 neon tetras.
betta eats the cherry shrimp cory eats the fry

One inch per gallon. So you can do most any fish as long as it doesn't get over ten inches long.:D
