hi

I saw his "natural habitat tanks" on the biggest german fair '03...
All tanks should represent a river habitat, but there where some fish from other continents in there, very sick rays and so on...

Well, for sure I wish, that he can get free, but as me previous speakers I don't like that turbulence belong to this person.
Famous and and knowledge aren't the same.
And here is a new argument: Real serious ichthyologists would known that it's stupid to smuggle fish in a bag.

that link didn't work mike

Breaking the law is breaking the law, nobody would have anything to say about this if it were just some average Joe that was prisoned for trying to transport fish across the border illegaly, they'd just call him a smuggler and say "Too bad". Just because the guy has a reputation doesn't put him above the rules.

ok my .02..... whatever your opinion on Heiko.... one cannot deny his contributions to the hobby..... as to his character and how much credit he should be given in the advancement of our hobby.... that is up to debate but regardless...... he has done more than anyone here posting...... hopefully all the 2nd hand rumors are not true and it is just a mistake on Heiko's part..... if not then the Brazil government will know what to do...... no one is perfect and we should reserve opinions until more is actually known..... imo;)

Everybody is right. I just pity the guy in the brasilian penitentiary system. It really is not rigged for guys like him ( and, at least I believe so ) like us.

He's not in a penitentiary. Hes in a Manaus police station. From what I have read. He hasn't been to trial.

I know I am not an englih speaker, admittedly. But I referred to the "penitentiary system" ( and that starts in the police stations ), not to a penitentiary.:)
