no just tank the eggs out and place them in a 20 gallon with an air stone in the tank. Some of the eggs will turn white leave them in there the babie will eat them for food. if you need more advive let me know. awesome looking fish

yeah you can accidentlly add one with the pbass:D maybe he might survive:D.

These paticular cichlids have been listed as actual good tank mates for peacock bass. ;) Of course only when there of compatible size.

I am feeding Hikari first bite's 5x a day and the parent's are in the tank with them and will probably stay this way for at least 1 month and maybe longer.

how often should i expect them to breed? going to get first bites today. should be free swimming by tomorrow i think.

As soon as you remove the fry then you should be good in a few weeks's or less. The breeder I got these from had one male breeding with three different females. He had three different batch's of fry for me to choose from.

thats awesome. I ordered two from rapps and just so happened that they paired up 4 months later!

He would seperate them for sure. But these grow a lot slower and less size for sure. You would have to match them well with the Cichla to become good tank mate's. I would never try it I just read that somewhere. I only keep them because no one I know had them and when they came around I thought there remarkable. He had them under a Acthinc (blue) light and wow was all I could say.
