aros come from dirty muddy waters were they would have no need to look down for food in a tank they take food from the tank base and can see fish swimming below them

get yourself a real muddy looking tank and you may not have drop eye :D

which ones?

the waters that silvers and blacks come from are cystal clear.

thats what i thought. hope he doesnt have an aro! lol! j/k

Actually the water in mud ponds especially are indeed what it's name implies. However, nowadays many farms actually cement the base of ponds as well so it is no longer muddy. Some farms do breed aro in crystal clear water while other ponds appear green or slightly brown. As for their natural environment, the water can be darkish because of tannin etc. (like a ketapang brew) or slightly muddy with a tinge of redness in the Kalimantan area.

you seem to know aros pretty well!

all aros get DE, which just goes to show that u dont really know as much about aros in general as i figured you didnt.. jardinis get de, silvers get de, asians get de, i've never seen a black with it so maybe we should be asking "why dont blacks get DE"

there's not much to ask about aros drop eye, we all know it happens, its been happening since like the 80s or 70s so it isn't something new to the hobby. aros get de, what causes it? thats like asking why do birds fly, when there young they can't, they get older they can fly. when aros are young, they look perfect, when there old they get de. its just what happens to aros

Black are not immune to DE. I've seen one.

black aros are the only type of aro i have never seen with drop eye but i have seen a jar with real bad drop eye as bad as you see on some silver aros
