oompa how old are you?
Over 18 and under 30, that's all I will say.

On another note, I was talking to a friend of mine from MD and he told me there are five keys to a good relationship:
1) talk like you're best friends
2) play like you're little kids
3) argue like you're married
4) protect each other like you're siblings
5) get it on like you're cousins from the south :D

Figured you all might get a kick out of that

church, library and laundry mat. cost little or nothing, and if you do not like who you are talking to you can look busy and ignore them with out insulting them. keep in mind that works both ways.

You still in school though? Just asking because a lot of the advise here is about making money, honestly some women don't really care how much you make just that you can take care of yourself. I'm young as well and most of my relationships have come through experiences where you see someone on a frequent basis. School, work, parties etc but that doesn't mean something cant come from a bar meeting (a lot of my buddies could vouch for that one) all depends on who you meet. Sometimes you get a cold shoulder other times you talk to someone like you knew them for years.

Heck if your still young don't worry about it to much. Just try some things, start by just making conversations with anybody and everybody. Take what you learnt with one person and try it with the next person and evolve from there. Learn from mistakes and progress with success ;)

Well that's good, I'm definitely capable of caring for myself. I am in school still

Yeah that's my main goal right now, just meet people. And keep meeting people until I find the one. Hell, still meet more people after that.

If your in school women don't care about money. If you see someone that you think you'd have an interest in ask them if they have been on the walking trails or something like that in the area and if they haven't offer to go on a walk with them. Try to get her in a situation where she is not surrounded by friends (they always are judgemental). In my experience walks work wonders (as does alcohol) but that's for a different time. You'll pick up on things as you continue to try, don't be discouraged by rejection it happens.

Yeah, if I get rejected (it has happened more times than I care to admit), what's the worst thing that would come from it? I learn from the experience and try again? Doesn't sound particularly bad to me...

Exactly, learn from it and move on
