  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I love the fish eating bird suggestion, however, he might end up eating all the fish first before chomping on the birds.

If you have a camcorder put on auto record it. You will know what going on with the birds. Share it with us...... ..(( Thanks God that brought free food ( birds )to Edwin, but Edwin doesn't know Edwin thrown it away. Please God forgive Edwin. ))

Honestly, if you don't live in the US, get a snakehead :P
If not, try to get a gar or something and say screw the goldfish.
Any birds/cats/maybe even a racoon will be scared away if not killed or eaten.

Or you can put a bird feeder with water by the pond and maybe try an electric fence for racoons and such?

Had a dead mouse in mine the other day and the water didn't deter the maggots. That was gross.

Umm birds/cats/raccons are not scared of any fish. i have birds landing by my pond and wading and play in the shallow area of my moster fish pond.
My stock : 2 segnal bichir. 1 northern snakehead. 1 white channel cat.
1 red tail cat. 2 red terrors. 1 green terror. 1 gator gar. 1 spotted gar.
1 fresh water drum. and loads of shiners.
i Dnt have the same problem as the op but my point being birds dnt care about fish. but its funny to watch my fish try to catch the brave birds
I just let nature take its place in my pond . But the bastardly starlings like to eat the floating pellets i feed my fish. but tHat is usually when the birds get eating.
