bettas are MUCH slower than zebra fish, so they don't stand a chance.
if your ornate was in the same setup as all the other fishes that may be crammed into that space, it probably died of water quality issues, or shock from the water change (how long had it been since the last water change, and how big is the tank?). --

a week. n the tank is a 15 g. ive had the ornate for a month now. then the tank suddenly got cloudy and the gar decided to eat the delhezi n the eel doesnt hide himself now always swimming here and there . then the usually active senegalus now always in hiding. something really weird is happening to my tank.
NEVER TRUST THE LFS, all they care about is PROFITS. TYPICALLY SPEAKING.
