no no no, im not being a punk, but it seems the comon thing to do on this board is to tell everyone, nomatter what the situation is, that there tank is too small,,, sure it is true in some casses, but not in most, so here we are , in one of them situations that its not true, but here comes a MFK troll to drop the only knowledge he can, witch is that my tank is to small,,, he might as well have croped it from another post on this board,,

and to me,,, its just fun to drive the (tank to small bus) into a tree,

so i gloat at the chance to discredit it when i can,
and if we were face to face,, i dont think you would be calling me a punk,, so lets not throw names around like that

A 55g is too small for a JD pair. You need at least a 75g.

A 55g tank is small for a breeding pair of New World cichlids no matter what you might think. That may be the 'end all answer' as you say but it's true most of the time. If you breed those same two JD's in a 300 gallon, a 215, a 150 or heck even a 135g, I can almost guarantee there would be less or no aggression. One day when you have a larger tank, you'll see what I'm talking about.

yeah but like a 75 is going to make suuuuuuuucccchhhh a big difference? point is we all could have bigger tanks for our fish...its not like hes got them in a 10 gallon tank...christ, none of us will ever be able to keep fish as if they were still living in there natural environment...

i agree... but seriusly tho, i have a pair of breeding GTs...they are 2.5 inches long....

is a 55 too small for them too?

Heck no it sounds fine. But if you came home one day to find one beat all to hell hiding up in the top corner (like takada's), you might want to divide the tank.

first off,, headrush, you're a idiot,

how many stupid little faces can you fit into one sig, are you a little kid, i won the tough guy award?
you're the one comin into my thread running your mouth caling people punks from the safty of your key board!
i think it is you who wins this so called award, now take it and run along,

that being said,, the JD's are happy now, and it turns out the tank is of fine size,,
all levels are good and fish are happy it's ok tho i got a 75 at work cycling for them right now,
