Nemesis, I just reread your posts here. You're right. I think I read something into your comments the first time that wasn't really there. It probably because I missed the comment about ** after you linked all those Rapps and ** threads. Sorry. Please accept my apology!
Since you've brought it up, in your last post, you said I continue to indirectly question ** fish. I have questioned some of ** fish in the past, and I've questioned some of the things he's posted on this forum. Unfortunately, it hasn't been a simple "ask a question and receive an answer" exercise with him or his seller ** as it has been with some other vendors on MFK. Most MFK vendors are available to answer questions and don't react defensively to a simple question. The quote you provided (post #42) is a good example of how most MFK vendors react to inquiries.
However, ** doesn't participate very often in the forum, and I can understand that. But the one time he answered me here he was completely untruthful (i.e. denying he supplied my LFS). I think I am justified in being suspicious after that experience. Also, his seller ** has refused to answer some very simple questions, even when an "I don't know, but I'll ask **" would suffice. When a fish that hasn't been collected in the wild for a long time is being offered for sale as wild, questions should be expected. They aren't accusations, they're fair questions. THEY SHOULD BE SEEN AS AN ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITY (i.e. wild dempseys finally collected!) rather than an insult.
Also, if I add my own experience with ** fish certain individuals get offended as if I've insulted THEM in some way. On the other hand, one forum member recently posted his disappointment in a Rapps fish, and no one got worked up in the subsequent discussion. I don't know where all the ** related defensiveness comes from, but I do know there are a couple of individuals who do him a serious disservice with their behavior in his defense (one of which has been banned, and the other which arguably should be). Perhaps they are the problem.
Again, sorry for misinterpreting your comments. Please continue to offer your opinions!
