Does anyone have an argument why I should keep my goonch? I thought my piranhas and aimara in the past were the worse of the worse for being "parkers" and boring fish but this guy wins hands down. I am thinking of selling him as the only time he moves is when it's time to eat. If I put him with the rays he will eat new born pups no ifs, ands or buts, not to mention probably eat some of his tankmates too! So what's a guy to do?

Tough decision. I'm kinda going through the same thing with my 10" Rhom. He's a beautiful fish, but at times keeping him seems like a waste of space. If I had the space, I'd love to keep a Goonch for a while, but I'm sure I would get bored fairly quickly.

Well i found out my goonch is compatible with any big fish that doesn't swim on the bottom. So far i have tried kelberi pbass and an indo datnoid with success.Only problem is all my big tanks contain stingrays.

I agree Goonches are boring. I have the tank space so it's really no big deal for me. It's certainly an oddball and a great addition to a collection but if you only have a couple tanks it might not be for you.

Blaspheme! I will be up to 4 goonches in no time!

:WHOA: Moved the Goonch today and he is now 24" not including the tail streamers!

That's 3" growth in just 2 weeks shy of 4 months. WOW

Awesome! Glad to see he is doing well! I can't wait until he hits the 30 inch mark!
