Blu-Ray = Good
PS3 = Crap
Thats the real story here......Ps3 having having a blu-ray player is its only plus....As a gaming console it has nothing on the 360. The sales of both consoles worldwide proves 360's domination. Why do you have such a hatred for HD-DVD to post a ignorant thread like this. It seems to me someone has a heart-on for japanese products only and will bash anything in its way.
 
lol comparing a console that has been out a year before...
the last gen. ps2 was doing better when it was out a year earlier than competitors.
There's nothing that makes the ps3 crap either...

Crap = Cheap remotes with half-ass docking station charger, basically little to no online access, lack of games....This console already has suffered huge losses in sales and if it didn't have blu-ray it would have already been a disaster for sony. Trust started this thread for one reason. This isn't about HD-DVD vs Blu-Ray to him its PS3 vs. 360. Its over trust, XBOX360 has won this console war hands down without having a High Definition dvd player of any kind included with the console. They made it an add-on for this very reason that the HD-DVD format might not last. Now like you said the Blu-ray attachment might be available in the future for the 360 but when it comes to gaming its a massacre.

not just a shortage of games, but shortage of consoles, many with hardware problems and some still do. Was 5 months before elder scrolls came out, 1st game they had to shout about, and was a year before stuff like gears of war. Took a year to get 80 games apparently.
Haven't seen the best from the ps3 (obviously), but I think it will prove to be a great machine possibly to a better standard than competitors.

I'm not an annoying fanboy of either machine, but personally I have already found the ps3 to be better than the xbox, and I think when it get's a few of the games that are going to be released in 2008 people will easily see it to equal or better than the xbox.

When you say little to no online access can you further explain, don't know much about xbox360s capabilities in this area...

no price drops from CES but a def helper in getting more BR to people. The HTiB with a br player from Panasonic. Full 1080p/24 and hd audio support. no known price or full specs but alot people love the simplicity and I'm sure walmart will get it's variation.

Taz2478, all I was trying to say with the beta analogy is that it's like Deja vu all over again with the format wars, the licensing of studios and distributors. I hope Sony has learned their lesson this time.. Unfortunatley DVD and/or HD DVD players like VHS players are doomed to a short market life....but as long as there is a market to keep rebuying the same Movie or Artist on the latest tech formats the milking will continue..

XBOX live is the largest gaming network in the world with over a million users worldwide. Almost every game for 360 can be played online. Sony's online network is a joke and always has been dating back to the ps2. Online gaming is the future and the 360 leads that 100x fold to the PS3..An example is COD4, when you sign on online multiplayer on PS3 you have maybe 500 players to interact with. On the 360 there are over 50'000 players on that game alone at most anytime.

And im still a loser that was banned here before for being an ass and a racist. My last nic was REC
 
oh... all the games bar one I have I can play online so I have no real complaints. It doesn't bother me too much, I'm not a big online gamer unless it's to play with friends anyway, although I'm not doubting playing online is huge. Can you play all million at once lol?
Online gaming is just one thing out of many that both consoles do...

Actually its the one thing that 360 and computers do well. I do most my gaming on my computer since it owns both consoles hands down but online activity with games is everything. Computers have been doing it for over a decade and its sad the sony's new console has failed so hard at it.
 
I was going to say, if i wanted to play online games properly, I'd do it on a PC...

none will fail, as it depends on what people are looking for. Personally I think the wii is a waste of time, but there are millions out there who would laugh and easily drop X hundred on one... all depends what your after and ps3 has added bonus of not only having blu ray, but a cheap blu ray. Games will be opinions to a large extent...
