DIY plywood tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It was roughly $60 with shipping and taxes. Resin was $32.50, the pumps were $6.25, and the pigments were around $8-10 for both. The shipping was only like $12. I would like to get some Azul's. But i'd spend alot of money for those. Next time I order some resin, Im gonna go with a fast cure time. It's taking too long in between coats.

so do you dont have any Ps now?

for $60, is that just enough for the one 100g tank, or will you have some of it left over?

I'll have some left over. I got a half gallon and 21oz of hardener. I just like to be safe and have about 4-5 coats. I have 3 small mono peacocks now, but the azuls are nice!

where'd you get the monos?

there are a few places in town selling small Ps at the moment (dont know if theyre monos or ocells) but they are asking too much IMO so i will wait until Jacks gets some more in

i got em from RJ's aquarium out in hebron. Hes got em priced at 9-10 bucks. Theyre pretty small but they look like monos.

How'd this corner tank work out for you? I had drawn up a design, albeit monster size, very similar. I'm considering building one with the 2 pieces of glass I have from a 90 and one with the two pieces of glass I have from a 75. I'd like to have them double stacked. Plumbing would be on the outside walls as only the center section will have glass and they will be in one corner of my garage.

Sadly its not done yet. Im looking at it as we speak..lol. I had so much going on at the time, I couldnt get back to it. I got married, got a h.u.d. house w/ lots of repairs, built a pond-working on the 2nd..etc. Im gonna get back to it asap. I'll post more pics when I make more progress.

I have 2 75's I want to break down and do what your're doing. Let me know when you get started and we can share ideas...
