well for me it depends. like say if someone is selling a natural plant product or fish its kool with me. but if it deals with injury, death or damages i will snitch. but i will try to deal with it privately before snitching.

when that happens, take pictures for me.

There is a rumor in here that a particular member who usually posts here will snitch to the fish and wildlife police (authorties) if you are selling or keeping stingrays in an illegal state! Watch your back and watch your fishes in your home! Yikes!

... sh's in fl have had no blunder on the native species... ...I still catch hefty LMB's around and i have caught them along side sh... ...ugly ass snakeheads....

They aren't so bad here but there are rivers and lakes up north that are dominated by snakeheads. The fishermen say if you catch a fish it is going to be a snakehead. Here snakeheads are not the top preditor, but they are here none the less.

Peacock bass were introduced by the state to control South Florida's rampant non-native problem. South American cichlids were putting a serious hurting on the natives down there and the only solution was Pbass. That is the only reason you can catch a large mouth next to a snakehead. Decades ago, Large Mouth Bass were not in the mix. Bass fishing is very important to the economy here and it was suffering badly down there. Now, Pbass are part of the Holy Grail of bass fishing. And LMB are up in numbers again.

Now lets all go fishin':)

I would disapprove of any snitch that snitches for the sole purpose of benefitting themselves in any situation. As for me, I wouldn't snitch unless someone was in danger from it, or could/would be in the future. For the fish side of things, I wouldn't go psychotic or hate anyone who had a couple illegals, but if they were mass producing or distributing them, I would have a problem. Yes, Laws are there for a reason, but for every law we have, there are ninety million ways to break it. And they will be broken, one way or another. All we can hope for is that infractions are kept minor, for the good of every person and fish involved, as well as for nature and it's systems.

Here at MFK we want to first protect the good name of the hobby. Second we want to be and have others to be responsible. Openly bragging about say, owning the first ten fish listed on the banned list and seeking the next twenty...get the point...MFK would be swarming with F&G, PETA idiots, and the media. That isn't the exposure we want. I doubt there is any truth to that rumor (never heard anything about it 'til now), but if a rumor will get people to shut up about their little indiscressions, then so be it.

And about your "friend" selling piranhas...I wouldn't mention too much about that.

.

CHOMPERS,

No, he is not my friend....Just a person I know...I know you approve of snithces and you would do it yourself so I know your view point..If you saw someone who is selling or buying a one inch piranha in an illegal state in MFK, you will tell the police..Some people would look the other way..Do I find the people who look the other way bad people? No, they are just minding their own business, like I would..And no, I do not own illegal fishes because I do follow the law..

In another example probably in your case, if a co worker came in late, 5 minutes late to work, I know you will rat him out to the boss to improve the company and uphold their standards...And you would go on, on how it is important to weed out the bad workers..So, I know where you stand as as being a rat and a rat is always a rat no matter what the circumstances are..

up here you can 9-1-1 for drunk drivers. zero hesitation calling those jerks in.

other than that though......
